In groups I get this message: “No recipient keys are available, cannot encrypt to [email]”, in chats app just asks to wait forever for connection and nothing more.
Steps to reproduce the problem
Me and my wife created profiles via emails (android and iphone)
It looks working (I get emails from my mail server)
But we can’t write each other
In options I see Connectivity > Incoming Messages > mail.ru connected (Not supported by your provider.
Check for the spam folder, both of you, and mark messages as not spam. It’s possible you’ll need to do it a couple more times later, but then it’ll be fine from here on.
As for the “not supported” thing, it’s simply indicating that it’s a vanilla email server. Safe to ignore.
How exactly is this displayed? As a rotating circle in the corner of a message? Or as a “Connecting…” text?
Do you mind telling me how you got in contact? Was it by scanning a QR or clicking the i.delta.chat link, or did you add them manually by their email address?
It’s unfortunate UI. This text is referring to the remaining mailbox quota, which cannot be checked.
What does “Connectivity” say otherwise? Green dot and mail.ru: Connected, plus Last message sent successfully?
The spam folder was empty, but I had a filter for my wife’s emails, so her emails were delivered to a separate folder. Perhaps this is the reason. I removed the filter and everything worked.
The app wrote before “Estabilishing connection” without circle in the corner.
