Persistent notification on Windows Desktop

Hi,

  • how can I made DC notification persistent in the Taskbar on windows?
  • how can I shrink DC to the Task notification area by clicking close and/or minimize?
    It would be great if DC flashing in the Taskbar or the info tray if a new message is arrived.
    The Windows notification disappears after a few seconds and if you are in that time not on the workstation, you missed the message.

I’d also like to have a system tray icon with unread message indication. Not only for Windows, I’m on Linux.

We’re currently working on this feature, probably will be part of the next bigger version of DeltaChat.

It’s part of the 1.14 series, so have a look here if you are interested in it. It currently doesn’t show a badge counter, but I would love to see this in the future too.

1.14.1 was released including an tray icon.

We already have an Feature proposal for the blinking taskbar icon, so I’ll mark this topic as solved.
