When comparing the different DC versions, I noticed that the distance between the bottom line of text and the date in the speech bubbles is significantly larger in DC-Desktop than in the other versions. It is smallest in DC-Android.
In my opinion, it would improve the look of the chat if the distance was as large everywhere as in DC-Android. As a result, the ratio of used area to unused area in the speech bubbles would be better. DC-Desktop in particular would benefit from this. But that is of course very subjective.
The difference is not so clearly visible in the screenshots below.
But if you compare the distance between the bottom line of text and the date in the speech bubble with the height of the letters, you can see it better.
