I like current logic. Chat prefix gives new people the idea that you are in chat-mode with them and you expect a quick answer right now, not a lengthy tomorrow.
And beginning of the message in subj let people reply via ordinary clients faster (espesially using mobile apps): they starting to read you starting from notification.
When the message is encrypted it doesn’t leak to subj.
